Kirstin and Dave were married on July 17th, which also happened to be the finals for the Women’s World Cup. While the US team didn’t win that day, it seemed fitting for their big day to coincide as they are big soccer fans. Not only were they all watching the game when we showed up to start getting ready pics, they had all gone to a Sounders game the night before and had even gifted Sounders scarves to their entire bridal party! While it was a typically rainy Seattle day (ie: gray and drizzly), this didn’t diminish the joy of the day as they celebrated their ceremony and reception at the Canal in Ballard, a beautiful venue overlooking the Locks. While Dave hails from Seattle, they were both living in NYC while planning the wedding, so we were so impressed with all of the details and planning that went into this wedding – no easy feat from so far away! Navy blue, white and stars were a common theme across their invites, placecards and more…
LOVE this shot of the groomsmen checking out Dave’s look. Lookin’ good Dave!
Grooms take note: a full walk around your bride to check out how gorgeous she looks is a great addition to any first look!
Besides Dave’s groomsmen, he had quite a few friends helping out as ushers and readers so it was great to get some fun shots with them.
They combined their last names to make team shirts for the bridal party as well. Love it!
They had tons of great speeches, more than I’ve seen at most weddings, but it was so fun to hear so many personal stories. They have a lot of friends and family who love them.
They also had some major moves on the dance floor for their first dance!
Congratulations you two! Many years of happiness coming your way!
