Tulio’s Wedding: Allison & Larry

Allison and Larry were blessed with an amazing April sunny day and it was well deserved as they are a wonderful, easy-going and loving couple that make my job so easy. Their intimate wedding took place at Tulio’s Restaurant in the Hotel Vintage Park and was a lovely gathering of close friends and family that we felt so lucky to be a part of. And the food was off the charts! We started the day with incredibly relaxed getting ready photos – I’m not sure I’ve ever seen such a relaxed bride and groom. The bride had it right with her adorable (and uber-comfortable) white sparkle Toms. And that bouquet? Hand-made by the bride (with some folding help from the groom). Quite possibly the most incredible paper bouquet I have ever seen. If I had seen it before my wedding I would have definitely stolen the idea (or better yet, paid her to do it for me, ha!). Check out the details below…

The flower girl was so adorable, carefully placing the flowers on the floor each time.

The natural choice when the tree starts to attack you.:)

Their guest book consisted of Polaroids with hand-written messages – you know a photographer is gonna love that!

Magic Monday: French Flair

People often ask me what is harder to photograph, kids or dogs, and I almost always say two year olds. However, two year olds are also one of my favorite ages to photograph because they are so spontaneous, you can’t force them to do anything and you never know what kind of magic might happen when you let them run the show for a bit. This was one of my favorite sessions from last fall with little Miss R. I have photographed this little cutie every year since she was three months old and somehow she keeps getting even cuter. I was so excited when she showed up in this adorable little jacket and hat – so French, so stinkin’ cute and you couldn’t ask for a sweeter two year old. If I hadn’t had shoots scheduled after her, I would have gladly followed her around the Arboretum all day long. Happy Monday everyone!

Thank Dog It’s Friday: Murphy

The last of our weekly posts is celebrating the joy, hilarious moments and ridiculous cuteness of dog portraits! Can I say that I’m a little proud of my pun with the name of this theme? I know, total dork, but you gotta get your kicks somehow!:)This adorable little puppy came into the studio about a year and a half ago and melted my heart – who can resist a puppy??! Sessions like this remind me why I LOVE my job so very much and is a great way to kickoff the first of our two weekends of pet portrait sign-ups from the Seattle Kennel Club show last weekend. Bring on the doggie cuteness overload!!

Wedding Wednesday: Kim & Chris

Welcome to Wedding Wednesday, celebrating all things wedding! We are diving into our archives from the last two years worth of weddings and I knew this was the first photo I wanted to share, taken by my amazing and talented husband/second shooter, Aaron! I love this photo so much that we used it for our new wedding postcards and banner stand for wedding shows as I feel like it really represents our brand and the happiness we try to capture in our couple’s portraits.

Stay tuned for Friday for the last of our weekly theme posts…what’s it going to be??

Magic Monday – Moustache Maternity

Getting back into the swing of blogging on a regular basis and have our first of three weekly posts with Magic Monday – celebrating the joy and fun of people portraits! I am in the slow process of updating the website from the last two years (!!! I know, so behind!) worth of weddings, people and pet portraits, but it’s making me realize how many fabulous sessions and weddings we have had the honor of photographing in the past two years and there is no way we can FIT all the photos we want on our website. Well hello! I have a fabulous blog that I love so it’s my plan to utilize it a lot more this year with the addition of weekly posts hitting the blog every Monday/Wednesday/Friday. Stay tuned for our next theme post coming Wednesday….and for now, enjoying a sweet moustache maternity session!
